Be clever, play cunning, and learn how to play craps the ideal way!
Games that use dice and the dice themselves goes back to the Middle Eastern Crusades, but modern craps is approximately one hundred years old. Modern craps come about from the ancient English game referred to as Hazard. Nobody absolutely knows the ancestry of the game, although Hazard is believed to have been made up by the Englishman, Sir William of Tyre, in the 12th century. It is theorized that Sir William’s knights played Hazard through a siege on the castle Hazarth in 1125 AD. The title Hazard was gotten from the fortress’s name.
Early French settlers imported the game Hazard to Acadia. In the 18th century, when expelled by the British, the French headed south and located sanctuary in southern Louisiana where they a while later became Cajuns. When they left Acadia, they took their best-loved game, Hazard, along. The Cajuns streamlined the game and made it more mathematically fair. It’s believed that the Cajuns adjusted the title to craps, which is derived from the term for the bad luck throw of snake-eyes in the game of Hazard, referred to as "crabs."
From Louisiana, the game migrated to the Mississippi barges and all over the country. A great many acknowledge the dice builder John H. Winn as the founder of current craps. In 1907, Winn created the modern craps layout. He put in place the Do not Pass line so players can bet on the dice to not win. Afterwords, he established the boxes for Place bets and put in place the Big 6, Big 8, and Hardways.
